Beyoncé is Bringing the “Renaissance World Tour” to Theaters This December

Concert films by the world’s leading artists are set to save the movie theatres this fall, and Beyoncé has another one on the way. Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé will premiere this December and chronicle the journey she embarked on during her historic Renaissance World Tour.

The Renaissance World Tour kicked off this May in Sweden, and it saw Beyoncé perform 56 concerts around the world. This global event came to a close on October 1 in Kansas City, Missouri, and Beyoncé celebrated its ending by dropping the official trailer for Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.

“It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft. Received with extraordinary acclaim, Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour created a sanctuary for freedom, and shared joy, for more than 2.7 million fans,” reads the film’s official logline.

Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé will premiere on December 1, and it will be distributed by AMC Theatres. According to Variety, the film will include both concert and behind-the-scenes footage, in addition to highly-anticipated music videos from the visual album Renaissance, which produced hit singles “Break My Soul”, “Cuff It”, and “America Has a Problem”.
