It’s been 21 years since Julia Roberts tried to sabotage her friend’s marriage after realizing she is in love with him in My Best Friend’s Wedding.
Julia and Dermot Mulroney have once again paired up as they star in the new Amazon series Homecoming where the Wonder actress plays a caseworker at a secret government facility and Dermot is her boyfriend.
“Seeing you and Julia back together again, everybody is hoping this is going to lead to a sequel to…” said Sharon Osbourne when the New Girl actor made an appearance on The Talk.
“I know, I know, My Best Friend’s Wedding,” he said to cheers from the audience. “They want to see that happen. I’m certainly not in the decision-making process. I’ve been clear from the beginning, I’ve been clear from 1997 that I’m ready for a sequel. So, I’m on record!”
Let’s hope producers are listening!
