“Avengers: Endgame” Shatters Records with its Opening

There was never any doubt that Avengers: Endgame would do well at the box office, but we wonder whether even producers anticipated it would do this well!

The final episode in this phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe opened internationally on Wednesday in countries such as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Greece, and Egypt.

The release broke records around the world — having the highest opening day in those countries — and earning $107.5 million on its opening night in China, making it the highest-ever grossing Hollywood film in the region.

The film opened in the United Kingdom on Thursday, meaning Britain was not even a part of the record-breaking $169 million global intake.

It is possible — and even likely — that the movie will reach $1 billion in its opening weekend.

Doesn’t seem like even Thanos can stop it.
