From Shadowhunters to Arrow.

Katherine McNamara has landed her next gig following the cancellation of Shadowhunters.

Entertainment Weekly confirms that the 22-year-old star has landed a pivotal recurring role on the CW’s Arrow.

McNamara took to Twitter to share to the news with her fans writing, “THRILLED to finally be able to share this news. “So excited to be joining @CW_Arrow.”

According to the outlet, the actress will star as Maya, a scrappy street fighter and thief from Star City.

Season 7 of Arrow will see Oliver Queen in jail, living alongside a host of the criminals he’s put away. Showrunner Beth Schwartz teased:

“We sort of wanted to write to the real of what that situation would look like if he was locked up with a bunch of previous villains that he’d previously put in there, and they’re now on the same playing field. There’s so much conflict there. He can’t do things the way he did them as the Green Arrow. The rules are different in prison.”

Arrow returns Monday, October 15.
