The “God is a Woman” singer’s ex, Mac Miller, passed away last week as a result of an overdose. In the wake of the rapper’s death, dozens of fellow artists expressed their condolences on social media.
Ariana, who dated Mac for 2 years, is now one of them.
“You were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else. i’m so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to,” she wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post in which she shared a video.
The pair split up in May, with the 25-year-old facing attacks on social media by people claiming she was the cause of the 26-year-old’s death.
RIP, Mac Miller.
