Did Adam Sandler just win dad of the year?

As is traditional in the Jewish religion, when a girl turns 12-years-old she celebrates her Bat Mitzvah. The ceremony commemorates her becoming a woman in the eyes of the community and is usually celebrated with a grand party.

And so when it came time for the Hotel Transylvania: Summer Vacation actor’s daughter to have her own Bat Mitzvah, he made sure she knew that “she will be loved.”

During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Sandler revealed that he wanted to do something special for his Sadie’s big day — so he asked Adam Levine if he would perform!

“I don’t know why I did it,” Sandler said. “Then you see the dot dot dot. Immediately, I’m like, ‘Oh, he got it. He’s about to say something.’”

Of course the Maroon 5 frontman said yes!

“They played three great songs,” Sandler continued. “It was the coolest thing, man.”

It’s all for “girls like you,” Sadie!
