A Supreme Collection Uses Tupac Shakur’s Hologram

The streetwear brand Supreme is bringing Tupac Shakur back to life. A teaser the company shared of its Spring/Summer 2020 collection features a hologram of the late rap legend.

The video was posted on Instagram, showing the resurrected rapper wearing the red box logo of the company on his shorts. He then performs “Hail Mary.”

The video got mixed reviews. Some fans were overjoyed by Supreme bringing Tupac back to life. Other commenters had a different view. “This is wrong, using the death of a person to advertise your latest product,” one commenter wrote.

The Supreme collection will include pictures of the hologram printed on the clothes. Additionally, Tupac’s estate is launching its own Me Against the World capsule to celebrate the album’s 25th anniversary. The collection includes hoodies and tees, with prices ranging from $30-95.

It is not the first use of this particular hologram. While headlining Coachella in 2012, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg used the hologram while performing “Hail Mary” and “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted.”
