There is some news coming out of the Spice Girls camp that we so badly wannabe true.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a film about the Fab Five is in the works!
We’ve already seen Scary, Baby, Ginger, Sporty, and Posh on screen once before in 1997’s Spice World, but the planned picture is set to be different from that wild ride.
For one, it’s expected to be animated.
The film is reportedly in the very early stages of development at Paramount Animation and is likely to be released in 2020 at the earliest.
The news comes as the Spice Girls have finally reunited for their Spice World 2019 Tour which has seen Mel B, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, and Mel C perform 13 shows for adoring fans.
Happily, the forthcoming film will include ALL the girls — including Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), who sat out the tour.
President of Paramount Animation Mireille Soria has said that all five ladies are “very involved” in the movie, which is being penned by Karen McCullah and Kiwi Smith and produced by their former manager Simon Fuller.
