It’s official now! Prince Harry proposed to Girlfriend Meghan Markle. In a recent interview, the two shared the details of the romantic proposal that took place in their cottage in Kensington Palace.
While talking about the proposal, Meghan told that she was not expecting a proposal from Harry and it took her by surprise. Prince Harry got down on one knee while the two were in the kitchen roasting some chicken. Meghan instantly said yes and then the two exchanged hugs.
Meghan was seen showing off her three-stone engagement ring which was designed by Prince Harry. He said;
“The ring is – is obviously yellow gold because that’s what – her favorite and the main stone itself I sourced from Botswana and the – the little diamonds either side are from my mother’s jewelry collection to make sure that she’s with us on this – on this crazy journey together.”
When asked about how his mother would have reacted to this news, Harry said that she would have loved Meghan and they would have probably been best friends. He got emotional while talking about Princess Diana and said that it’s time like these when he really miss having her around.
During the interview, Meghan revealed that she has met Queen a couple of times now and every time she met her it was truly incredible.
The two have been dating for over a year now and were never shy in making a public appearance. They met back in June 2016 at a cozy lunch at Meghan’s friends place.
