]]>CODA pulled a major upset and managed to defeat Belfast, Don’t Look Up, The House of Gucci, and King Richard to win the biggest award of the night—the outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture. Its star Troy Kotsur was crowned as the best supporting actor.
The list of individual acting winners in the motion picture field also included best actor Will Smith (King Richard), best actress Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye), and best-supporting actress Ariana DeBose (West Side Story).
The TV categories brought several expected wins our way, starting with Succession and Ted Lasso winning awards for best ensemble in a drama and comedy series, respectively. Squid Game walked away with three awards, including best actor and actress in a drama (Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-Yeon), and best stunt ensemble.
The 28th Screen Actors Guild Awards were presented on February 27th at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

This critically acclaimed comedy about the legendary Las Vegas comedian teaming up with a millennial writer became a huge hit with the critics and went on to win three Emmys this year.
Speaking of critically acclaimed comedies that we couldn’t stop watching, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez made us laugh out loud as three true crime fans trying to solve a murder mystery in their apartment building.
