The first trailer for the second season of the modern-day re-imagining of the iconic series was unveiled Monday, which also happens to be National Twilight Zone Day. 

The reboot of the Rod Sterling series from Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg is set to debut all 10 episodes June 25 on CBS All Access.

While little is known of the new and forthcoming sophomore installment the streamer did say that, “The series’ second season uses introspection and self-exploration to usher viewers into a dimension filled with endless possibilities.”

Season 2 of The Twilight Zone will see Peele reprise his role as host with guest cast including Morena Baccarin, Kylie Bunbury, Jenna Elfman, Ethan Embry, Sky Ferreira, Tavi Gevinson, Topher Grace, Tony Hale, Gillian Jacobs, David Krumholtz, Thomas Lennon, Sophia Macy, Natalie Martinez, Joel McHale, Chris Meloni, Gretchen Mol, Paula Newsome, Billy Porter, Jimmi Simpson, Jurnee Smollett, Daniel Sunjata, Damon Wayans Jr., and others.

James Gunn recently took to Twitter and revealed all 24 actors set to star in his Suicide Squad reboot. 

The announcement confirms those set to return and reprise their roles in the new film — Margot Robbie will return as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis as Squad mastermind Amanda Waller, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, and Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag. 

They will be joined by more big names that include Pete Davidson, John Cena, Taika Waititi, Idris Elba, and Nathan Fillion. 

David Dastmalchian, Sean Gunn, Daniela Melchior, Joaquín Cosio, Flula Borg, Mayling Ng, Storm Reid, Steve Agee, Alice Braga, Peter Capaldi, Juan Diego Botto, Julio Ruiz, Tinashe Kajese, Jennifer Holland, and Michael Rooker round out the cast. 

Noticeably missing from the list, however, are Will Smith, Jared Leto, Cara Delevigne, Karen Fukuhara, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje who all started in David Ayer’s 2016 Suicide Squad.

The Suicide Squad is set to be released August 6th, 2021.

It feels as though every show that was popular in the ‘90s or early 2000s is coming back for a second round, with the latest being Gossip Girl, from Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage.

It was hoped, in that case, that another of their shows, The O.C., would also be making a comeback.

The series ran from 2003 to 2007 and followed the lives of four friends in Newport, Orange County. The cast included Mischa Barton, Benjamin McKenzie, Adam Brody, Rachel Bilson, Peter Gallagher, Kelly Rowland, and Melinda Clarke.

Alas, the team of Schwartz and Savage have squashed that idea.

“That was brought up at one point, we were asked about doing a return to The O.C. to see those kids grown up. For us, that was a very, very singular story. We felt like we completed that tale by the end,” said Schwartz.

That said, a new and evolved version of Gossip Girl is expected on HBO Max sometime in the near future.

Scott is en route to the fifth dimension in CBS All Acces’ upcoming Twilight Zone anthology helmed by Jordan Peele. While plot and character details are kept under wraps, the episode titled “Nightmare at 30,000 Feet” could be a possible homage to the 1963 episode, “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet,” which starred William Shatner. In the episode, Shatner plays a man who sees a gremlin on the wing of an airliner but can’t get anyone else on the flight to believe him. It was also parodied in the Simpsons Halloween installment in 1993.

Peele is set to serve as executive producer on the horror anthology alongside Simon Kinberg and Marco Ramirez. He will also host and narrate the horror series.

Scott joins the previously announced Sanaa Lathan who will be the star of an episode called “Rewind.”

The series is expected to debut in 2019.

The series is coming back with the full original cast. John Goodman, whose character died at the end of the original series, is included in the trailer as nothing has happened. There are also Roseanne Barr, Laurie Metcalf, Lecy Goranson, Sara Gilbert, Michael Fishman, and many others.

The Roseanne revival is scheduled for March 27 on ABC.
