]]>Nolan knocked it out of the park with his latest film Oppenheimer, a historical epic that won seven Oscars at this year’s Academy Awards, including best picture and best director. He’ll reunite with Universal Pictures for his next project, which will be released theatrically and on IMAX on July 17, 2026.
Like all of Nolan’s previous films, this one is shrouded in secrecy, but we know a thing or two about its star-studded cast. This project will reunite Nolan with Matt Damon (Oppenheimer) and Anne Hathaway (The Dark Knight Rises, Interstellar), and it will also star the Spider-Man duo Tom Holland and Zendaya.
Lupita Nyong’o is the latest A-list star added to this amazing cast. She rose to prominence after winning an Oscar for her breakout role in 12 Years a Slave and went on to star in the Black Panther franchise. Her most recent credits include the apocalyptic horror A Quiet Place: Day One and the animated film The Wild Robot.

]]>Years ago, the Kenyan actress planned to adapt the award-winning novel, Americanah, into a film.
The book by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a love story that follows a young Nigerian woman who leaves her home to study abroad and comes face to face with what it is to be a black person in the United States.
Nyong’o had planned to develop the story for film and star as the woman, Ifemelu, alongside David Oyelowo. But the novel will now be turned into a limited series for HBO Max.
Nyong’o will still star.
“Americanah has been a passion project for me since I read Chimamanda’s beautiful novel in 2013,” she said. “It’s a tale that is simultaneously timely and timeless. HBO Max is the perfect partner to bring this profound and celebrated story to life, and I’m thrilled that Danai [Gurira] will bring to the project her intelligence, wit, and understanding of the stories and the worlds of Americanah.”
The Oscar winner will be reunited with her Black Panther co-star Danai Gurira on the the project as the latter will act as showrunner, in addition to writing the pilot episode.

]]>The Marvel film about Wakanda did exceptionally well at the box office, earning over $1.3 billion worldwide, and even scooped up 3 Academy Awards while becoming the first superhero film ever to receive a Best Picture nomination.
Director Ryan Coogler will now attempt to repeat the feat with Black Panther 2.
Chadwick Boseman, Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Forrest Whitaker, Danai Gurira, and Angela Bassett are expected to return for the sequel.
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige said that Coogler has delivered a treatment, complete with a villain and new title.
“We’re not taking our time, we’re really trying to get it right,” the director said of the production schedule.
Black Panther 2 will hit theatres on May 6th, 2022.
