]]> Disney+ has given us several amazing Marvel shows since its launch, and Loki is definitely one of its biggest hits. The second season of this show is coming our way this fall, and the first trailer sees Tom Hiddleston return for another mind-blowing adventure.

The trailer opens with Loki experiencing a strange condition after the events of Season 1, and looking for help in an unexpected place. Mobius (Owen Wilson) joins him as they seek out the Time Variance Authority archivist OB (Ke Huy Quan), who informs them that Loki is experiencing a phenomenon known as time-slipping.

As the trailer continues, we watch him being pulled through time, between the past and the present, and witnessing horrors that make him wonder if there’s anything that stands between this world and utter destruction.

Eugene Cordero, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, and Tara Strong will also return for Season 2, along with Jonathan Majors, who’ll play Victor Timely, a variant of Kang the Conquer. Several new cast members will join the show in its next chapter, including Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, and Liz Carr.

Season 2 of Loki will return to Disney+ on October 6 and it will feature a total of six episodes.

]]> We can always count on the People’s Choice Awards to take a look back on the biggest pop culture moments of the year, and they did the same at their latest ceremony. Marvel and Disney projects were leading the way, with Black Widow, Jungle Cruise, and Loki taking several prizes home.

Black Widow was one of the biggest winners of the night and it walked away with the award for the movie of the year and female star of the year for Scarlett Johansson. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Jungle Cruise also collected two awards each. Disney continued its domination with the best drama win for Cruella.

Disney+ also conquered the TV categories, with Loki taking two TV awards—the TV show of the year and male star of the year for Tom Hiddleston. Grey’s Anatomy was right behind with two awards while Keeping Up with the Kardashians dominated the reality show field.

When it comes to music, BTS obliterated the competition and won a total of three awards— group, song, and music video of the year with “Butter”. It was also a big night for Olivia Rodrigo, who walked away with two awards, including the new artist of the year.

The People’s Choice Awards were held on December 7th, with SNL’s Kenan Thompson serving as a host.

]]> Marvel’s superhero series Loki will return for season two at Disney+. The news was confirmed in Wednesday’s season one finale during the mid-credits scene.

The scene shows Loki’s case file being branded with a stamp: “LOKI WILL RETURN IN SEASON 2”. The streamer didn’t reveal further info beyond that.

The news comes after Tom Hiddleston, who stars as Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, hinted at season two in a recent chat with Deadline.

“I have learned, at this point, having said goodbye to the character more than twice, two and a half times maybe, to make no assumptions,” said Hiddleston.

The story of Loki takes place after the events in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame and sees the titular character creating a new timeline after he steals the Tesseract. This gets him in trouble with Time Variance Authority, an organization that monitors timeline. At this point, the God of Mischief is offered a choice to either help fix his wrongdoings or get erased from existence.

The series, which also stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, and Owen Wilson, among others, emerged as a big hit for Disney+. It was a critical success while having the most-watched premiere on the streamer.

Loki is the first Marvel series to get a season two order at Disney+. WandaVision, which centers on characters Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Vision, wrapped up in March and is considered to be a limited series. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, featuring Sam Wilson/Falcon and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, had its season one finale in April. However, there is still no confirmation regarding the new episodes.

Forget what happened in Avengers: Infinity War… Marvel has confirmed that the 37-year-old will be reprising his role in a new TV show which will be shown on Disney’s new channel, Disney+.

“Loki. More stories to tell. More mischief to make. More to come,” Tom wrote on Twitter.

It is not known when exactly during the MCU timeline we will meet the God of Mischief — or even when the snow will premiere — but we have no doubt that Tom will bring him to life (ahem) brilliantly!
