Hamilton is coming to a theater near you!

Lin-Manuel Miranda took to Twitter Monday announcing that his acclaimed Broadway show is heading to cinemas after Disney purchased the worldwide movie rights for a whopping sum of $75 million.

Miranda’s announcement also revealed that the movie adaptation, which has been set for a 2021 fall release, will feature the original Broadway cast.

The Hamilton movie consisted of shooting three live performances, and also some setup shots without an audience, all of which was used to create multiple angles to ensure a full cinematic experience, according to Deadline.

Hamilton won 11 Tony Awards in 2016, as well as the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Hamilton will hit theaters October 15th, 2021.

Disney Studios has just gifted us the duet we didn’t even know we wanted.

At the end of the year, Into the Woods actress, Emily Blunt, and Lin-Manuel Miranda of Hamilton will be starring together in the sequel to 1964’s Mary Poppins. Mary Poppins Returns is expected to feature lots of singing from the pair who have now taken on another Disney classic — this time from Aladdin.

Singing A Whole New World, Emily very generously let Lin-Manuel be Princess Jasmine.

The 38-year-old then treated us to even more Disney classics — performing a mash-up of song lines from Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, 101 Dalmatians, and many others.

All hail the King of Disney!

April Fool’s Day. The day on which to believe nothing and trust no one. Just like every other day.

The comedic holiday leaves many feeling skeptical and cautious about just what pranks or fake news might be coming their way.

And speaking of fake news… Lin-Manuel Miranda purported a story which we partly wish was true. In honor of April Fool’s Day, the Hamilton creator announced that he would be adapting The Room into a Broadway musical!

The film by Tommy Wiseau — which was the subject of 2017’s The Disaster Artist — has been dubbed “the best worst film ever made”. The “official” cast list, according to TheatreMania would have included Miranda himself, Patti LuPone, Justin Guarini, and Mark Rylance.

Songs from the production were listed as I Just Like to Watch; Half Canadian Bacon With Pineapple, Half Artichoke With Pesto and Light on the Cheese; and Cheap, Cheap, Cheap (The Chicken Song).

We’re so devastated that the report is not true, it’s tearing us apart.

Dozens of well-recognized names chose to lend their fame in the battle against gun violence in America by taking part in numerous “March for our Lives” demonstrations across the United States.

The protests were a reaction to the shooting which took place at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida on the 14th of February during which 17 students were killed.

Those participating in the call for stricter gun-control laws included Lady Gaga who was in New York:

Hamilton’s star, Lin-Manuel Miranda:

Kim Kardashian West was joined by her family:
