Bruce Springsteen will be singing for those who have proved themselves to be tougher than the rest.

Each year, a fundraiser is held for army veterans who were wounded in overseas conflicts.

The Stand Up for Heroes event was first held as an initiative of ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff, who was inspired by his own journey.

While embedded with US troops in Iraq during 2006, he was seriously injured by an improvised explosive device (IED) and had to undergo brain surgery, a 36-day coma, and extensive physical therapy.

“Even after 13 years of Stand Up for Heroes, the event continues to inspire our audience and our nation,” Woodruff said in a statement. “We can’t forget that these brave individuals stand up to serve in our military, and we need to show our support by standing up for them in return.”

The line-up for this year’s show will include Bruce Springsteen, Jon Stewart, John Oliver, Ronny Chieng, and Hasan Minhaj.

The 13th annual Stand Up For Heroes veterans fundraiser will take place on November 4th at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.

The time has come for some of our favorite stars to shine!

Many famous names have been recognized for the influence they have on the world as part of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2019.

The prestigious list is divided into five categories: Pioneers, Artists, Leaders, Icons and Titans.

Those emanating from Hollywood include big names such as Dwayne Johnson, Taylor Swift (who is rumored to be releasing new music this month), recent Oscar winner Regina King, fellow Oscar winner Lady Gaga, Chrissy Teigen, Sandra Oh, Korean pop group BTS, Khalid, comedian Hasan Minhaj, and Richard Madden.

Not everyone made one of the special covers, but those who did included Taylor, Dwayne, and Sandra.

Now in its 16th year, the editorial director of the TIME 100, Dan Mascai, describes the list as “a community of hundreds of global leaders, many of whom support and challenge one another. And at a time when so many of our problems require cross-disciplinary solutions, they are also uniquely positioned to effect change. When you connect extraordinary people, they can do even more extra-ordinary things.”

And how extraordinary they are!

A comedian by any other name would still be as funny, as long as he is Hasan Minhaj.

That said, the American, who was born to a North Indian family, is very proud of his name, thank you very much.

The Patriot Act star appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show recently, where the host asked him what was the correct way to pronounce his exotic name.

“And it’s Ha-saan Min-aaj,” she said; to which the comedian corrected her with the correct pronunciation: Has-en Min-haj.

“Look, when I first started doing comedy, people were like, ‘you should change your name,’” he revealed. “And I’m like, ‘I’m not gonna change my name.’”

The 33-year-old then raised a fantastic point: “If you can pronounce Ansel Elgort, you can pronounce Hasan Minhaj. There’s an actor just named Ansel Elgort, and we all just walk around pronouncing it, completely normally.”

But as any comedian would, Hasan takes the recurring name situation in stride and finds the humor in it.

“At Starbucks, I go by Timothée Chalamet.”

Pleased to meet you.
