It appears that the recent HBO Max’s reunion special has prompted the Friends cast to rekindle their relationships. This is especially true for Courteney Cox (Monica), Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), and Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), who decided to reunite once again for the 4th of July celebration over the weekend.

Cox was the one to reveal the get-together, sharing an affectionate photo alongside Aniston and Kudrow on Instagram and writing: “Happy 4th! xoxo” in the caption. The celebration was also attended by Academy Award-winning actress Laura Dern as the second photo in the post shows.

This Friends-mini reunion prompted comments from both the fans and the trio’s celebrity friends. Comedian David Spade complained that he was “cropped again” from the photo, while British singer Natasha Bedingfield wrote “Wow” before adding: “Love you guys.”

Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, and Lisa Kudrow got together with the rest of the Friends core cast—Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer—for a special reunion episode of the sitcom back in April. The special, which premiered on HBO Max in May, saw the cast talking about the show with celebrity guests while also revealing some previously unknown behind the scene facts.

The cast reunited partially and in full on several occasions since then. This included appearing on The Late Late Show with James Corden with the appearance resulting in an impromptu Carpool Karaoke episode.

Friends aired for 10 years between 1994-2004 and there were 236 episodes. According to Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter, a reunion special is coming to HBO Max in 2020.

Despite being told numerous times that there will not be a reunion, Friends fans have continued holding out hope for the past 15 years since the series aired its final episode.

Well, maybe, just maybe, that hope was not in vain…

Jennifer Aniston, who played Rachel throughout the series’ 10 seasons, has revealed that the cast is up to something.

Whilst on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Morning Show actress was asked about the possibility of a revival — which she shot down — but she did say, “Listen we would love for there to be something, but we don’t know what that something is. So, we’re just trying. We’re working on something.”

Wait, what?!

“A huge, huge, huge, movie, Aniston said. “No, we don’t know. I  don’t want to lead people on.”

Perhaps it was just a break!

25 years after Friends, it turns out that Phoebe Buffay is a liar! Fans of the show will remember the lobster theory, described by Phoebe in the second season of the series. Well, as it turns out, this theory doesn’t hold much truth.

In episode 14 of the season, “The One with the Prom Video,” Phoebe explains to Ross that Rachel is his soulmate claiming she is like his lobster. “It’s a known fact that lobsters fall in love and mate for life. You can actually see old lobster couples walkin’ around their tank, ya know, holding claws,” she says.

But now Curt Brown, a marine biologist, explained to E! News that this is in fact not true at all.

According to him “Lobsters, by nature, are not monogamous and do not pair for life. A dominant male will actually mate with multiple females during encounters that last days to weeks. A literal example of ‘love on the rocks’!”

Was it an honest mistake made by Phoebe, whose background at zoology is sketchy at best? Perhaps it was a clever deception she thought of in an effort to make Ross go after Rachel? Or is it just that she likes playing with our minds? We will let you decide.

This is the one with the anniversary.

Our beloved series from the ‘90s, Friends, is turning 25 (which probably means it’s going through a quarter-life crisis, but we digress).

And while we cannot sit on the couch and order a cappuccino from the machine that Rachel never cleaned to celebrate, we can watch some of the series’s most iconic episodes over some popcorn.

To celebrate the milestone, Fathom Events has arranged for 12 episodes of Friends to be screened across 1,000 theaters throughout the US.

The selected episodes include the pilot, “The One With The Black Out,” “The One With The Birth,” “The One Where Ross Finds Out,” “The One With The Prom Video,” “The One Where No One’s Ready,” “The One With The Morning After,” “The One With The Embryos,” “The One With Chandler In A Box,” “The One With Ross’s Wedding – Part 2,” “The One Where Everyone Finds Out,” and “The One Where Ross Got High.”

The screenings, which include exclusive interviews and never-before-seen footage, will run over three separate days: September 23rd, September 28th, and October 2nd.

We’ll be there for it!

This is the one where Netflix declares, “We were on a break!”

Last week, the news broke that the much-beloved NBC comedy would be navigating from its regular binge-watching home to another streaming service — HBO Max.

The title belongs to the new platform created by WarnerMedia, which will launch in the spring of 2020.

While Netflix previously outbid Warner to keep Monica, Chandler, Rachel, Ross, Phoebe, and Joey on its screens, Warner won this round by putting down $85 million a year.

With Friends set to appear on HBO Max for five years, that comes to a grand total of $425 million!

“We’re sorry to see Friends go to Warner’s steaming service at the beginning of 2020 (in the US),” Netflix tweeted after WarnerMedia’s announcement. “Thanks for the memories, gang.”

No one told us binge-watching was gonna be this way…

Don’t worry, friends of Friends, this is the one where Netflix listens to the people.

The internet was in uproars when it was announced that the streaming service would be removing all 10 seasons of Friends from its bouquet on the 1st of January.

After fans threatened the cancel their accounts, Netflix sought to clarify the situation that, no, they’re not going on a break!

“The Holiday Armadillo has granted your wish: Friends will still be there for you in the US throughout 2019,” wrote the official Netflix account alongside a picture of Ross dressed as the aforementioned Holiday Armadillo.

It has now been reported that Netflix will be paying $100 million to keep broadcasting the series — more than three times the previous amount.

By the time Friends completed all 230 episodes in 2004, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, and Matt Le Blanc were the highest-paid actors on television, earning $1 million per episode.

At least they’ll still be here for us!

It’s been 14 years since we said goodbye to Friends, which ran between 1994 and 2004.

By the conclusion of the 10th season, the cast of David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and Courtney Cox were earning $1 million an episode, making the female stars the highest paid actresses on TV.

But, our dreams of the gang getting back together on that couch, which never seemed to be occupied, have now been dashed quicker than one of Ross’s marriages.

Chairman of NBC Entertainment, Bob Greenblatt, has told The Hollywood Reporter, in no uncertain terms, that a Friends revival “will never happen.”

We guess that when Ross, Rachel, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler, and Monica said goodbye it was more than just a break…
