Amazon Prime Video is developing the adaptation of Alafair Burke’s novel The Better Sister, and they found two perfect stars to lead it. Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks have been cast in this thriller series, and they’ll be credited as its executive producers.

The Better Sister will explore the terrible things that drive sisters apart and ultimately bring them back together, and here’s what it has in store according to Amazon’s official synopsis:

“Chloe (Biel), moves through the world with her handsome lawyer husband Adam and teenage son Ethan by her side while her estranged sister Nicky (Banks) hustles to make ends meet while trying to stay clean. When Adam is brutally murdered, the prime suspect sends shockwaves through the family, laying bare long-buried secrets.”

Biel and Banks will executive produce this series alongside showrunners Olivia Milch and Regina Corrado, director Craig Gillespie, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, and Alissa Bachner via Tomorrow Studios, plus Annie Marter and Michelle Purple.

Jessica Biel is no stranger to carrying a major TV series on her shoulders, and we’ve recently seen her lead USA Network’s The Sinner and Hulu’s Candy. Elizabeth Banks has mostly been focusing on directing in recent years, but we’ve also seen her star in The Beanie Bubble and Call Jane.

Elizabeth Banks just shared her take on Charlie’s Angels with the world, and she’s already getting ready to direct another major Hollywood blockbuster. She’ll be in charge of helming Invisible Woman for Universal, in addition to starring in this promising project.

The movie will be based on Banks’ original pitch, and it will not be directly connected to the upcoming Invisible Man movie, starring Elisabeth Moss. Erin Cressida Wilson, whose previous credits include Secretary and The Girl on the Train, will be in charge of writing the script.

The Invisible Woman remake is a part of Universal’s strategy to revamp some of the films from its vast catalog of monster-themed classics. They’re also developing Renfield, a new take on Dracula’s henchman, set to be directed by Dexter Fletcher.

The original Invisible Woman movie came out in 1940, and it served as a sequel to previously released The Invisible Man and The Invisible Man Returns. It had a more comedic tone than the rest of the movies in this franchise, making Elizabeth Banks the perfect pick to helm new take on this cult classic.

The Angels have arrived!

The world best prepare for some butt-kicking beauties, because we have our first look at the upcoming Charlie’s Angels.

Elizabeth Banks is directing, wrote the script, and is starring in the flick, which continues the story of Charlie’s secret agents.

The Pitch Perfect star will be playing one of several Boseleys, which is now a code name for the handler which assists the ladies. She will be doing so alongside Djimon Hounsou and Patrick Stewart.

As for the angels themselves, they will be played by Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska.

A whole collection of wigs, toys, and clothes help the trio transform into whoever they need to be to complete their missions as shown in the first official trailer.

“We’re reintroducing Charlie’s Angels to people,” Banks told PEOPLE. “The last movie came out almost 18 years ago, so there are many, many, especially young people who just don’t really know those movies. So we’re kind of reintroducing Charlie’s Angels to new fans but also reminding people who love Charlie’s Angels what they loved about it and bringing them back into the theater.”

Charlie’s Angels hits screens on November 15th.

Those Angels, played by Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson, and Jaclyn Smith, were Charlie Townsend’s initial crime-fighting trio, which were featured on the television series that ran for five years.

In 2000, their roles were taken over by Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, and Cameron Diaz for a big screen adaptation, and now a new set of Angels will be coming to the fore.

Sony Pictures has now released the first images from the new Charlie’s Angels film, which is being helmed by Elizabeth Banks.

The Pitch Perfect actress will also be starring in the flick as Bosley, alongside Patrick Stewart and Djimon Honsou, who will all serve as the Angels’ aides.

The Angels themselves will be played by Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska.

Stewart’s Sabina has been described as hard-partier who is super skilled, Balinska will be onboard as former MI6 agent Jane, and Scott will round out the trio as Elena, the MIT-trained scientist.

Although the quintessential voice of Charlie, John Forsythe, passed away in 2010, Banks has said they have tried to emulate his voice as best they could.

We’ll see if it works on November 15th.
