Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, Her Loss by Drake and 21 Savage, DJ Khaled’s God Did, Chris Brown’s Breezy, and GloRilla’s Anyways, Life’s Great were also in the running for this award, and BET voters had a pretty difficult choice to make. They had trouble settling for a single album of the year and decided that SZA’s SOS and Beyoncé’s Renaissance should both take the trophy home.

Both singers came out victorious in two more categories – Beyoncé took home the BET Her Award and the Viewer’s Choice Award for her hit single “Break My Soul”, while SZA was named best female R&B/pop artist, in addition to winning the video of the year award for the viral hit “Kill Bill”.

The race in the movie categories wasn’t so intense, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever easily defeated the competition to be named the best movie. The main acting awards were handed to its star Angela Bassett and the Snowfall actor Damson Idris.

It was a big night for Beyoncé, who was nominated in nine categories this year, and managed to walk away with four awards: best dance/electronic recording (“Break My Soul”), best dance/electronic album (Renaissance), best traditional R&B performance (“Plastic Off the Sofa”) and best R&B song (“Cuff It”).

The Big Four categories brought a few surprises our away, but Harry Styles’ triumph wasn’t so difficult to predict. He won album of the year with Harry’s House, while Lizzo picked up the trophy for the record of the year with “About Damn Time”.

As for the shockers, Bonnie Raitt defeated the likes of Lizzo, Styles, and Taylor Swift to win song of the year with “Just Like That”. It was also pretty surprising to see Samara Joy beat the likes of Måneskin, Latto, and Anitta to be named the best new artist.

The 65th Annual Grammy Awards took place on February 5, and the list of major winners also included Maverick City Music with four wins, and Brandi Carlile, Bonnie Raitt, Kirk Franklin, and Kendrick Lamar with three each.

All of these artists are nominated for album of the year, one of the night’s most important honors. Beyoncé’s Renaissance, Lamar’s Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, Styles’ Harry’s House, Adele’s 30, and Carlile’s In These Silent Days will be competing against the likes of Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti and Lizzo’s Special.

When it comes to song and record of the year, another two major categories at this ceremony, the field includes most of the same artists. Adele’s “Easy on Me”, Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul”, Harry Styles’ “As It Was”, Lizzo’s “About Damn Time”, and Kendrick Lamar’s “The Heart Part 5” are some of the tracks in the running for both awards.

As for the rest of the nominees, Mary J. Blige, Future, and The-Dream scored six nods each, and they’re followed by Jay-Z, Doja Cat, and Lizzo with five. The winners will be announced on February 5, 2023, when Grammy Awards are set to take place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

With 332,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week on the chart, Renaissance scored the largest debut of the year by a female artist. It’s the second largest debut of 2022 overall behind Harry Styles’ Harry’s House with 521,500 units earned in its first week.

Renaissance is also the first LP released by a female artist in 2022 to top the Billboard 200 chart. It marks Beyoncé’s seventh solo album to hit No. 1 in the US, making her the first artist to have all seven of their studio albums debut at the top spot.

Beyoncé started working on Renaissance during the COVID-19 pandemic and said it allowed her to find escape during a scary time for the world.

“My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music,” Queen B wrote on Instagram.

Renaissance was released on July 29, as the first installment of a trilogy project.

Beyoncé removed bios and photos from her social media accounts earlier this month, and her fans immediately knew something is up. This was her way to tease her upcoming seventh studio album called Renaissance, set to hit the shelves on July 29.

She’s yet to share any official statement regarding this record, but she previously discussed it with Harper’s Bazaar in August last year. Queen B said she thinks that she feels “a renaissance emerging” after a long period of isolation and injustice and that she wants to be “part of nurturing that escape”.

According to Variety, Renaissance will be a multi-part album, featuring country and dance tracks. The lead single “Break My Soul” is an obvious candidate for the dance side of the album, because it pays a homage to the house music of the 90s. It was released on June 21 at midnight, just in time to coincide with the 2022 summer solstice.

Beyoncé came out victorious in four separate categories—the best R&B performance with “Black Parade”, the best music video with “Brown Skin Girl”, the best rap performance and best rap song with the remix of Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage”. This brought her total of Grammy wins to 28, making her the most rewarded woman in the show’s history.

Taylor Swift also made history as the first female artist to win three awards for the album of the year, after dominating this category with Folklore. Billie Eilish collected her second consecutive record of the year award for her soul-baring single “Everything I Wanted”.

Megan Thee Stallion shared two of her awards with Beyoncé, but she also dominated one major category on her own—the best new artist. The song of the year category brought one of the biggest shockers of the night, as H.E.R. came out victorious with “I Can’t Breathe”.

The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards were held on March 14th in and around the Los Angeles Convention Center, with Trevor Noah serving as a host.

She dropped “Black Parade,” a song that relates to the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, by a police officer and the subsequent rise in the Black Lives Matter movement.

Jay-Z, Beyoncé’s husband, co-wrote the song along with Akil “Fresh” King, Brittany Coney, Densia Andrews, Kim “Kadence” Krysiuk, Rickie “Caso” Tice, and Derek Dixie.

The proceeds from the song will go towards BeyGOOD’s Black Business Impact Fund which supports Black-owned businesses and on her website she wrote, “Being Black is your activism. Black excellence is a form of protest. Black joy is your right.”

Beyoncé released the song on her Instagram captioning it, “Happy Juneteenth Weekend! I hope we continue to share joy and celebrate each other, even in the midst of struggle. Please continue to remember our beauty, strength and power.”

“‘Black Parade’ celebrates you, your voice and your joy and will benefit Black-owned small businesses,” she added.

It appears as if two of the greatest divas in the world are about to record a track — together.

That’s right. You no longer have to choose between being Team Beyoncé or Team Adele, because the ladies are apparently collaborating on a new song.

The source?

The very reliable music producer and One Republic frontman, Ryan Tedder.

Tedder has worked with both singers before, having written “Halo” and “I Was Here” for Beyoncé, and produced Adele’s albums 21 and 25.

“We have one song featuring Beyoncé and Adele with a Chris Martin piano solo on the bridge,” the “Rescue Me” singer told radio station Z100 about One Republic’s upcoming album Human.

Both Beyoncé and Adele may have both been vying for Album of the Year at the 2017 Grammy Awards (Adele won), but now we can celebrate their musical prowess together!

The television network has officially joined the Beyhive as it announced that it would be screening a documentary featurette dedicated to the singer’s latest album.

The Lion King star released a companion album when the live-action Disney film came out, entitled The Gift.

In a surprise announcement, ABC — make that ABeyC — stated that it would screen Beyoncé Presents: Making the Gift on September 16th after Dancing with the Stars.

According to the 30-second trailer, fans can look forward to lots of behind-the-scenes footage, which includes recording sessions, the creation of songs and music videos, and everyone’s favorite girl — Blue Ivy.

According to Forbes, the estimated figures are based on pretax incomes from June 2018 to June 2019.

The 29-year-old released her 7th studio album, Lover, on August 23rd, which contributed to her earning $185 million over the past year before tax.

The majority of the money, however, was the result of Taylor’s Reputation World Tour, which pulled in $266 million. The Grammy winner also signed a deal with Universal Public Records.

Beyoncé followed Taylor’s lead with a slightly more modest $81 million, thanks to the Netflix special Homecoming and her own tour with her husband Jay Z.

Although she has not released any new music, Rihanna’s fashion and beauty line Fenty helped her rake in $62 million, coming in third place.

Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, Her Loss by Drake and 21 Savage, DJ Khaled’s God Did, Chris Brown’s Breezy, and GloRilla’s Anyways, Life’s Great were also in the running for this award, and BET voters had a pretty difficult choice to make. They had trouble settling for a single album of the year and decided that SZA’s SOS and Beyoncé’s Renaissance should both take the trophy home.

Both singers came out victorious in two more categories – Beyoncé took home the BET Her Award and the Viewer’s Choice Award for her hit single “Break My Soul”, while SZA was named best female R&B/pop artist, in addition to winning the video of the year award for the viral hit “Kill Bill”.

The race in the movie categories wasn’t so intense, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever easily defeated the competition to be named the best movie. The main acting awards were handed to its star Angela Bassett and the Snowfall actor Damson Idris.

It was a big night for Beyoncé, who was nominated in nine categories this year, and managed to walk away with four awards: best dance/electronic recording (“Break My Soul”), best dance/electronic album (Renaissance), best traditional R&B performance (“Plastic Off the Sofa”) and best R&B song (“Cuff It”).

The Big Four categories brought a few surprises our away, but Harry Styles’ triumph wasn’t so difficult to predict. He won album of the year with Harry’s House, while Lizzo picked up the trophy for the record of the year with “About Damn Time”.

As for the shockers, Bonnie Raitt defeated the likes of Lizzo, Styles, and Taylor Swift to win song of the year with “Just Like That”. It was also pretty surprising to see Samara Joy beat the likes of Måneskin, Latto, and Anitta to be named the best new artist.

The 65th Annual Grammy Awards took place on February 5, and the list of major winners also included Maverick City Music with four wins, and Brandi Carlile, Bonnie Raitt, Kirk Franklin, and Kendrick Lamar with three each.

All of these artists are nominated for album of the year, one of the night’s most important honors. Beyoncé’s Renaissance, Lamar’s Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, Styles’ Harry’s House, Adele’s 30, and Carlile’s In These Silent Days will be competing against the likes of Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti and Lizzo’s Special.

When it comes to song and record of the year, another two major categories at this ceremony, the field includes most of the same artists. Adele’s “Easy on Me”, Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul”, Harry Styles’ “As It Was”, Lizzo’s “About Damn Time”, and Kendrick Lamar’s “The Heart Part 5” are some of the tracks in the running for both awards.

As for the rest of the nominees, Mary J. Blige, Future, and The-Dream scored six nods each, and they’re followed by Jay-Z, Doja Cat, and Lizzo with five. The winners will be announced on February 5, 2023, when Grammy Awards are set to take place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

With 332,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week on the chart, Renaissance scored the largest debut of the year by a female artist. It’s the second largest debut of 2022 overall behind Harry Styles’ Harry’s House with 521,500 units earned in its first week.

Renaissance is also the first LP released by a female artist in 2022 to top the Billboard 200 chart. It marks Beyoncé’s seventh solo album to hit No. 1 in the US, making her the first artist to have all seven of their studio albums debut at the top spot.

Beyoncé started working on Renaissance during the COVID-19 pandemic and said it allowed her to find escape during a scary time for the world.

“My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music,” Queen B wrote on Instagram.

Renaissance was released on July 29, as the first installment of a trilogy project.

Beyoncé removed bios and photos from her social media accounts earlier this month, and her fans immediately knew something is up. This was her way to tease her upcoming seventh studio album called Renaissance, set to hit the shelves on July 29.

She’s yet to share any official statement regarding this record, but she previously discussed it with Harper’s Bazaar in August last year. Queen B said she thinks that she feels “a renaissance emerging” after a long period of isolation and injustice and that she wants to be “part of nurturing that escape”.

According to Variety, Renaissance will be a multi-part album, featuring country and dance tracks. The lead single “Break My Soul” is an obvious candidate for the dance side of the album, because it pays a homage to the house music of the 90s. It was released on June 21 at midnight, just in time to coincide with the 2022 summer solstice.

This brought her total of Grammy wins to 28, making her the most rewarded woman in the show’s history.

Taylor Swift also made history as the first female artist to win three awards for the album of the year, after dominating this category with Folklore. Billie Eilish collected her second consecutive record of the year award for her soul-baring single “Everything I Wanted”.

Megan Thee Stallion shared two of her awards with Beyoncé, but she also dominated one major category on her own—the best new artist. The song of the year category brought one of the biggest shockers of the night, as H.E.R. came out victorious with “I Can’t Breathe”.

The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards were held on March 14th in and around the Los Angeles Convention Center, with Trevor Noah serving as a host.

She dropped “Black Parade,” a song that relates to the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, by a police officer and the subsequent rise in the Black Lives Matter movement.

Jay-Z, Beyoncé’s husband, co-wrote the song along with Akil “Fresh” King, Brittany Coney, Densia Andrews, Kim “Kadence” Krysiuk, Rickie “Caso” Tice, and Derek Dixie.

The proceeds from the song will go towards BeyGOOD’s Black Business Impact Fund which supports Black-owned businesses and on her website she wrote, “Being Black is your activism. Black excellence is a form of protest. Black joy is your right.”

Beyoncé released the song on her Instagram captioning it, “Happy Juneteenth Weekend! I hope we continue to share joy and celebrate each other, even in the midst of struggle. Please continue to remember our beauty, strength and power.”

“‘Black Parade’ celebrates you, your voice and your joy and will benefit Black-owned small businesses,” she added.

It appears as if two of the greatest divas in the world are about to record a track — together.

That’s right. You no longer have to choose between being Team Beyoncé or Team Adele, because the ladies are apparently collaborating on a new song.

The source?

The very reliable music producer and One Republic frontman, Ryan Tedder.

Tedder has worked with both singers before, having written “Halo” and “I Was Here” for Beyoncé, and produced Adele’s albums 21 and 25.

“We have one song featuring Beyoncé and Adele with a Chris Martin piano solo on the bridge,” the “Rescue Me” singer told radio station Z100 about One Republic’s upcoming album Human.

Both Beyoncé and Adele may have both been vying for Album of the Year at the 2017 Grammy Awards (Adele won), but now we can celebrate their musical prowess together!

The television network has officially joined the Beyhive as it announced that it would be screening a documentary featurette dedicated to the singer’s latest album.

The Lion King star released a companion album when the live-action Disney film came out, entitled The Gift.

In a surprise announcement, ABC — make that ABeyC — stated that it would screen Beyoncé Presents: Making the Gift on September 16th after Dancing with the Stars.

According to the 30-second trailer, fans can look forward to lots of behind-the-scenes footage, which includes recording sessions, the creation of songs and music videos, and everyone’s favorite girl — Blue Ivy.

According to Forbes, the estimated figures are based on pretax incomes from June 2018 to June 2019.

The 29-year-old released her 7th studio album, Lover, on August 23rd, which contributed to her earning $185 million over the past year before tax.

The majority of the money, however, was the result of Taylor’s Reputation World Tour, which pulled in $266 million. The Grammy winner also signed a deal with Universal Public Records.

Beyoncé followed Taylor’s lead with a slightly more modest $81 million, thanks to the Netflix special Homecoming and her own tour with her husband Jay Z.

Although she has not released any new music, Rihanna’s fashion and beauty line Fenty helped her rake in $62 million, coming in third place.
