]]>The 2018 film about a family forced to stay silent to keep themselves safe in a post-apocalyptic world earned over $340 million worldwide, becoming one of the hit films of the year and included in several Top 10 lists.
It also marked the first time that Krasinski, who also stars in the film, has sat in the director’s chair.
He will repeat the feat with the sequel, which is being referred to as Part II.
In addition to Krasinski returning, so will Emily Blunt, who played his on-screen spouse (while also being his real-life wife) and earned herself a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role.
With production already underway, all looks set for A Quiet Place: Part II release on March 20th, 2020.

]]>John Krasinski’s directorial debut, A Quiet Place, earned $340 million globally, leaving no doubt that a sequel would follow.
In addition to its impressive box office intake, the film was praised by critics and garnered a Screen Actors Guild Award for star Emily Blunt, as well as a nomination at the Writers Guild Awards for Best Original Screenplay.
Blunt — who is married to Krasinksi — will reprise her role as the wife and mother of two children, all of whom have to live in silence so as not to attract evil creatures that hunt by sound. She will be joined by Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds, who will also be returning, while Cillian Murphy has joined the cast.
Paramount Pictures has now announced that the still unnamed sequel to A Quiet Place will be released earlier than expected.
The movie was initially scheduled for May 15th, 2020, but will now premiere two months earlier on March 20th.
