On Thursday, Sandra Oh made history with her Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

Later on that day, she was congratulated by her person.

Sandra and Ellen Pompeo have had a long friendship, dating back to 2005 when they both starred on Grey’s Anatomy.

And despite Dr. Cristina Yang having discharged herself from the series, the two seem to have remained close.

So when Sandra became the first Asian woman to be nominated in the category for her work on Killing Eve, Ellen sent not one, but two congratulatory tweets!

On Grey’s, Sandra and Ellen played best friends, often referring to each other as one another’s “person”.

Miss Oh will find out whether she’s won when the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards take place on the 15th of September, and we’re sure that the whole of Grey Sloan Memorial will be cheering her on!
