]]>The A Star Is Born actress had her name called on Sunday night as the song she co-wrote and sang, “Shallow”, won Best Original Song.
The 32-year-old was notably emotional as she made her way to the stage where producer Mark Ronson gave the acceptance speech.
We have no doubt that the Grammy Award winner partied hard after her win, with her needing a bit of a lie-in the next morning.
Gaga’s fiancé, Christian Carino, posted a photograph to his Instagram which showed her under the covers with her golden statuette in her arm and a bowl of Fruity Pebbles.
The picture was captioned, “What a rager.”
She deserves to let loose a little!

]]>The rounds of red carpets, betting, and acceptance speeches only properly kicks off in January, but the 2019 Golden Globe Award nominations have now been released.
The announcement came exactly a month before the awards which are due to be held on the 6th of January.
The Dick Chaney biopic starring Christian Bale, Vice, leads the pack with 6 nominations (including Best Actor in a Motion Picture — Musical or Drama, Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture — Musical or Drama, and Best Picture — Musical or Drama).
The film narrowly trumped A Star is Born, The Favourite, and Green Book which each garnered 5 nods.
The television scene appeared a far more even playing field with Barry, The Kominsky Method, Homecoming, Sharp Objects, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and A Very English Scandal all scoring 3 nominations, behind only The Assassination of Gianni Versace which earned 4.
Not everyone was satisfied — or even unsurprised — by the nominations, as Sam Elliot of A Star is Born found himself without a nod, as did This Is Us and The Handmaid’s Tale besides a Best Actress nomination for the latter.
Hosting duties for the evening will be undertaken by Brooklyn Nine-Nine star, Andy Samberg, and Sandra Oh of Killing Eve (who is also nominated for Best Actress in a Television Drama).

]]>Each year the Hollywood Foreign Press Association selects the offspring of a Hollywood royal and bestows on them the honor of being named the Golden Globe Ambassador — formerly known as Miss Golden Globe.
Past recipients have included Rumer Willis (daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore), Dakota Johnson (whose parents are Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson), Corinne Foxx (whose father is Jamie Foxx), Sylvester Stallone’s 3 daughters, Scarlet, Sistine, and Sophia, and most recently, Dwayne Johnson’s daughter, Simone Garcia Johnson.
The title means that the chosen lady stands on stage and hands out the statuettes to the winners of that year’s Golden Globe Awards.
The role has now been adapted to allow for gender-neutrality, as well as the commitment to philanthropy on the part of the HFPA.
2019’s Golden Globe Ambassador, Isan Elba, intends using her title to bring awareness to mental health.
“Mental health, specifically among African Americans and my peers in particular, is something I really want to be more vocal about,” says the 16-year-old. “There’s this perceived stigma and I’ve seen friends struggle. We need to empower young people to not be afraid to ask for help.”
We look forward to seeing Isan shine when the Golden Globes take place on the 6th of January.
