That’s according to Netflix, which has released its viewership figures for the third season of the sci-fi series about a bunch of kids who ultimately save the world(s).

The streaming service does not typically divulge its viewing numbers, but makes exceptions when shows perform particularly well and, in cases such as this, break records.

Netflix claims that season 3 of the Duffers’ show broke the record for four-day viewership thanks to 40.7 million household accounts tuning in. An account is considered to have watched a show if it completed at least 70% of one episode or movie.

Of that Demogorgon-sized figure, 44% — 18.2 million people — have already watched all eight episodes (and are likely already waiting for season 4).

In honor of Netflix releasing the third season of Stranger Things, the ice cream company has created a flavor straight out of Hawkins.

Christened “USS Butterscotch,” the summer treat — which is July’s flavor of the month — is a butterscotch-flavored ice cream that includes butterscotch pieces and a toffee-flavored ribbon.

And if that wasn’t sweet enough, you can have it in the form of a sundae at the new “Scoops Ahoy” in Burbank, California.

As part of the Stranger Things promotional campaign, the show has taken over Burbank’s Baskin-Robbins store and transformed it into the series’ nautical-themed ice cream parlor where Steve works.

Also on the menu?

A waffle bowl called the Demogorgon Sundae, the Byers’ House Lights Polar Pizza — which is a chocolate chip cookie topped with Snickers ice cream and M&M “Christmas lights” — as well as the Elevenade Freeze — a vanilla ice cream and Minute Maid lemonade smoothie.

Sounds like Eleven’s heaven!

As the clock struck midnight on January 1st, 2019, the streaming service gave us something we’ve been wanting for a while — the premiere date for the next season of Stranger Things.

Filming of the 3rd season of the ‘80s-style series ended a few months ago, with viewers eagerly awaiting news of when we’ll return to Hawkins.

Well, wait no longer, because July 4th, 2019 it is!

Netflix also treated us to a slightly creepy clip which transports us to the eve of 1985 and warns that one summer can change everything…

All 9 episodes of Stranger Things season 3 will be available on 4 July, 2019.

With season 3 of Stranger Things having just begun filming, the actress behind the superpowerful teenager, Millie Bobby Brown, has expressed her hopes for a love story she’d like to see…

While Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers may not be Eleven’s real mom and dad, they are the closest she has to a set of parents, so it’s only natural that she’d like to see them get together.

“I would love for them to get together,” she said. “Jopper is like my inspiration in life.”

“Winona Ryder and David Harbor are like my parents,” she continued. “On set, they’re like, ‘Stop running, what are you eating, why are you eating that?’ David is like, ‘Another boy?’ And in the show, if they rekindle, that means Will and Eleven will be step-siblings. I would love that because Noah [Schnapp] is my boy best friend.”

David is also shipping Jopper, having told Variety last week, “From the very beginning, I thought that these are two tortured, messed up, beautiful people who are like puzzle pieces that can’t stand each other but actually need each other”
