]]> Sam Claflin has been cast as the lead in Amazon and Hello Sunshine’s Daisy Jones and the Six original series. He joins previously announced Riley Keough.

The musical drama, based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s novel of the same name, details the spectacular rise and precipitous fall of a renowned (fictional) rock band in the 1970s.

Claflin will play Billy Dunne, the band’s charismatic frontman, whose increasingly complicated feelings for bandmate and songwriting partner Daisy Jones (Keough) threaten to upend every facet of his life

Claflin is best known for his roles in the Hunger Games films, as well as in Every Breath You Take and Me Before You.
