It’s hard work battling monsters in the Upside Down. So it seems only fair that paychecks are on the upside, too.

Production on season 3 of Netflix’s Stranger Things is set to get underway in a few weeks, with members of the cast expected to add to their Hawkins bank accounts.

For the initial 2 seasons of the fantasy series, the young cast — comprising of Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, and Caleb McLaughlin — had reportedly earned $30,000 an episode.

Following contract negotiations, the figures appear to have increased as rapidly as the cast’s height, to around $200,000 to $250,000 per episode.

Winona Ryder and David Harbour, who feature as the rare adults in the 1980s-style show, are expected to have their episode salaries bumped up to between $300,000 and $350,000.

The series’ “teenage” cast of Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton will also be getting raises — albeit not in the same league as their co-stars — bringing their paychecks to $100,000 to $150,000.

The new season of Stranger Things will reintroduce us to the small town of Hawkins a year into the future, with Priah Ferguson being promoted to a series regular and Maya Hawke joining the cast as a new series regular.

Season 3 is already sounding totally tubular.
