Palm Springs Film Festival chairman Harold Matzner described Lopez as “a star in every sense of the word” and said her “full-force yet grounded performance” in Hustlers is deserving of awards consideration.

Matzner is not the only one who feels this way, as many critics lauded her performance in the movie, and she’s getting some serious Oscar buzz right now. Hustlers was also a huge hit on the box office and it earned $150 million worldwide. It also gave us one of the most epic ensemble casts of the year, which included Constance Wu, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo, and Cardi B.
