A new streaming service is being released by Apple and it now has a name.

CEO of the tech giant, Tim Cook, took to the stage at the Steve Jobs Theatre at Cupertino where he announced that the platform will be entitled Apple+ and will be free of ads.

Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, Jason Momoa, Alfre Woodard, Kumail Nanjiani, Big Bird from Sesame Street,, J.J. Abrams, and Sara Bareilles were all present at the event as they all have shows coming on the new service which will be available in over 100 countries.

But perhaps the most exciting announcement was by Oprah Winfrey.

The former Queen of Daytime revealed that she will be producing not one, but two documentaries for the platform.

The first will be about harassment in the workplace entitled Toxic Labour, while her second will be a multi-part series about mental health that has yet to be christened.

The 65-year-old also confirmed that she will be partnering with Apple on “building the biggest, most vibrant, most stimulating book club on the planet.”

Apple+ is scheduled to launch in the fall.
