The next James Bond movie, No Time to Die, will be postponed until November.

The official James Bond Twitter page posted, “MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, announced today that after careful consideration and thorough evaluation of the global theatrical marketplace, the release of NO TIME TO DIE will be postponed until November 2020.”

The film’s original release date was on April 2nd internationally and on April 10th in the U.S, but the producers decided to postpone it due to the spread of coronavirus, as many theatres worldwide have had to close, including those in Italy, South Korea, Japan, and China, which could have resulted in a major loss for the film.

No Time to Die cost over $200 million to produce and millions more to market.

The new release date in the U.K. is November 12th and in the U.S. it’s set for November 25th.

Five-time Grammy winner Billie Eilish has released her newest song, “No Time To Die,” the theme song for the upcoming James Bond film.

The song’s release comes ahead of the film’s April 2nd release in the UK and April 10th in the U.S.

Eilish has made history as the youngest artist to write and record a James Bond theme song. She’ll perform it live for the first time at the Brit Awards in London on February 18th.

“No Time To Die” was produced by her brother Finneas with Stephen Lipson, and it features orchestral arrangements by Hans Zimmer and Matt Dunkley and guitar from Johnny Marr.

When talking about the song, Eilish said, “It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honor. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock.”

Finneas added, “writing the theme song for a Bond film is something we’ve been dreaming about doing our entire lives. There is no more iconic pairing of music and cinema than the likes of Goldfinger and Live and Let Die. We feel so so lucky to play a small role in such a legendary franchise, long live 007.”

Billie Eilish has scored her biggest gig to date.

Two years ago, the teenager from Highland Park in Los Angeles was relatively unknown. Now, she is scheduled to write the theme song for the next James Bond film.

No Time to Die is Daniel Craig’s last hurrah as the British secret agent and is set for release on April 8th. Although not much has been revealed about the song, we do know that it was penned with her brother and writing partner, Finneas O’Connell.

Eilish teased the 007 collaboration on her Instagram, with the Bond Twitter account confirming the good news.

In performing the theme song, the “Bad Guy” singer follows in the footsteps of Adele and Sam Smith, but is the youngest artist in history to do so.

No Time to Die will be the 25th installment in the 007 franchise and will see the retired secret agent having to put his idyllic life in Jamaica on hold when an old friend comes asking for help. What ensues is a dangerous mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist, while thwarting a supervillain armed with deadly new technology.

Bohemian Rhapsody star, Rami Malek, will portray the antagonist, while Daniel Craig is once again returning to the role of James Bond — albeit for the last time.

Looking as suave as ever, the Knives Out actor appears on the first official poster for the film, dressed in a tuxedo, with the title emblazoned across him.

Following a few delays to production, all is now on track. Beasts of No Nation director, Cary Jo Fukunaga, is helming the feature, while Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Scott Z. Burns have co-written a screenplay based on an earlier draft by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.

No Time to Die is out on April 8th, 2020.

James Bond’s next mission finally has a title!

The official Bond Twitter account has now confirmed that the forthcoming installment will be titled No Time to Die.

Production on Bond 25, as it has been called until now, has not been smooth-sailing in the slightest.

Speculation abounded that Daniel Craig, who has played Bond for the last four films, would not return to the role.

Danny Boyle had signed on as director, but left the project soon after production began, citing creative differences. His departure meant that screenwriter John Hodge, who was adapting an idea by Boyle, also left.

The director’s position was filled by Cary Joji Fukunaga, while veteran Bond screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade penned the script. Phoebe Waller-Bridge has been brought on to liven up the screenplay.

Following that, production had to be paused more than once when Craig injured his ankle and then when an explosion occurred on set, causing minor injuries to a crew member.

Rami Malek, Christoph Waltz, Naomi Scott, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Winshaw, and Jeffrey Wright also form part of the cast.

No Time to Die opens in the UK on April 3rd, 2020, and in the US the following week on April 8th.
