]]>The latest announcement is that Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga will be performing their hit duet and single “Rain on Me” for the live show. “Rain on Me” comes from Gaga’s latest album Chromatica, which has been nominated for seven awards.
Other previously announced performers include Gaga, Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd, Roddy Ricch, BTS, Doja Cat, J Balvin, Maluma, and CNCO. More performances will be announced over the next couple of days.
This will mark Grande’s first performance at the VMAs since 2018’s “God Is a Woman” and it will be her fifth performance on the show. Over the years, Grande’s been nominated for 35 VMAs (nine of which are from this year) and she’s won five times.
Grande hasn’t released a new album in the past 12 months, but she’s leading the nominations this year and she’s been nominated for Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, Best Choreography, and Best Collaboration, which were all for “Rain on Me”, and Best Collaboration and Best Music Video From Home for her collaboration with Justin Bieber for “Stuck With U.”
