The post “Euphoria” & “Spider-Man: No Way Home” Pick Up Top Honors at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards appeared first on TheDailyDay.
]]>It was a big night for HBO’s teen drama, which managed to beat the likes of Inventing Anna, Loki, Squid Game, Ted Lasso, and Yellowstone to win the award for the best show. It collected trophies in three more categories—the best performance in a show (Zendaya), best fight (Maddy vs Cassie), and “Here for the Hookup” award.
Spider-Man: No Way Home came into this year’s ceremony with a total of seven nominations, just like Euphoria, but only managed to win two of them. It was named the best movie of the year, defeating Scream, The Batman, The Adam Project, Shang-Chi, and Dune. Its star Tom Holland also walked away with one of the night’s biggest honors—the award for the best performance in a movie.
The 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards were held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California on June 5 with Vanessa Hudgens and Tayshia Adams serving as hosts.

]]>WandaVision managed to beat The Boys, Bridgerton, Cobra Kai, and Emily in Paris to win one of the biggest awards of the night—best show. Its star Elizabeth Olsen and Kathryn Hahn won the trophies for the best performance in a show and best villain and shared the award for the best fight.
To make the whole thing even more impressive, WandaVision wasn’t even the only Disney+ show dominating the winners’ list. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was a close second with two wins—best hero (Anthony Mackie) and best duo (Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan).
Movie categories didn’t offer any clear leaders, as major awards went to different projects. To All the Boys: Always and Forever was crowned as the best movie, while Chadwick Boseman was posthumously awarded for his performance in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
The 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards were hosted by Leslie Jones, with broadcast taking place on May 16th and 17th.

]]>The public gets to decide the winners of the annual awards show, which includes categories such as Best Hero, Best Villain, Best Fight, Best Scared-As-S*** Performance, and Best Kiss.
Producers have now announced their host for this year’s ceremony on the 17th of June — Zachary Levi!
The Shazam! star will follow in the footsteps of Tiffany Haddish, Adam Devine, Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, Amy Schumer, Conan O’Brien, Rebel Wilson, Russell Brand, Jason Sudeikis, and Andy Samberg.
It is also possible that the event could be quite a musical affair… Zachary has a set of singing pipes that he has showcased on screen in Tangled, which even earned him a Tony nomination for Best Leading Man for his role in the Broadway production of She Loves Me.
Time to suit up!
