HBO has released an official trailer for it’s new take on TV lawyer Perry Mason premiering June 21.

The series will star Emmy winner Matthew Rhys (The Americans) as Mason, a defense lawyer in Los Angeles in 1931. In the trailer, we get a better look at the characters he encounters while investigating the kidnapping and death of an infant boy. The corner tells Mason it’s “the worst thing you’ve ever seen,” and Mason responds with, “What do you know what I’ve seen?”

Starring in Perry Mason are Orphan Black’s Tatitana Maslany as Sister Alice, John Lithgow as attorney E.B. Jonathon who hires Mason for the case, שמג Shea Whigham as Mason’s partner Pete Strickland. Juliet Rylance, Chris Chalk, Stephen Root, Gayle Rankin, Nate Corddry, Veronica Falcon, Jefferson Mays, Lili Taylor, Andrew Howard, Eric Lange, and Robert Patrick star in the series as well.

Perry Mason was created by Rolin Jones (The Exorcist) and Ron Fitzgerald (Westworld), and directed by Timothy Van Patten (Game of Thrones).

HBO said of the series, “While the rest of the country struggles through the Great Depression, this city is booming! Oil! Olympic Games! Talking Pictures! Evangelical Fervor! And a child kidnapping gone very, very wrong.”

“Based on characters created by author Erle Stanley Gardner, this drama series follows the origins of American fiction’s most legendary criminal defense lawyer, Perry Mason. When the case of the decade breaks down his door, Mason’s relentless pursuit of the truth reveals a fractured city and just maybe, a pathway to redemption for himself,” they continued.

After six exciting seasons, The Americans ended its final episode on Wednesday. Real-life couple and co-stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys reflected on the show’s emotional ending at the series finale’s For Your Consideration red carpet event in North Hollywood.

“I hate to say it, but we both cried. We did, it’s the truth,” Rhys told ET’s Leanne Aguilera. “Separately, as we were in different places, but we both cried.”

The actor said that they both teared up “for various reasons. Both for what was on the last page and for what the last page meant, on and off the screen.”

Russell and Rhys played on the FX’ dark drama series Soviet KGB agents who go undercover as Philip and Elizabeth Jennings, an American couple living in Washington D.C. during the height of Cold War in the 1980s.

In its last and shocking episode, The Americans stage a bloodless coup where the lead characters made it through the end.

“I didn’t know what was gonna happen actually, I had no idea what was gonna happen,” Russell revealed.

“I kinda said to myself, just before reading it, ‘If one of us dies, understandable. If we both make it? It’s a bonus,'” Rhys added.

The two actually met and fell in love while filming the series and started their romance in late 2013. They welcomed their first son together, Sam, in May 2016. They live in Brooklyn together with Russell’s two kids from previous marriage. For the past five years, the couple spent many days away from home shooting The Americans. But now that the show has ended, they are embracing a more quiet life. The actress said she’s looking forward to taking her kids to school and to dinners with family and friends, Esquire reports.
