We’re going on one more ride with two of Netflix’s best friends.

The streaming service has decided to renew Grace and Frankie for a seventh season — although it will be its last.

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin star as the titular characters who forge an unbreakable friendship after their husbands announce that they are in love with one another.

“We are both delighted and heartbroken that Grace and Frankie will be back for its seventh, though final, season,” the actresses said in a statement.

“We’re so grateful that our show has been able to deal with issues that have really connected to our grand generation. And their kids, and amazingly, their kids as well! We’ll miss these two old gals, Grace and Frankie, as much as many of their fans will, but we’ll still be around. We’ve outlasted so many things — just hope we don’t outlast the planet.”

The final season of the series will consist of 16 episodes and make it Netflix’s longest-running show.

Michael Douglas has never let anyone walk all over him.

But all that is about to change.

The Ant-Man and the Wasp actor has finally been recognised after his 50 years in the film business with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 74-year-old is not the first in his family to receive a coveted star…

Michael’s 101-year-old father, Kirk Douglas, beat him to the post in 1960.

The Spartacus actor joined his son at his award ceremony where he was told, “I’ll say it simply and with all my heart: I’m so proud to be your son.”

Also in attendance at the event were Michael’s wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, his son Cameron, and his co-star from The China Syndrome, Jane Fonda, who recalled how both she and Michael share the legacy of being born into great acting families.

Keep shining, Michael!

There is no point denying that gender pay discrepancy is a real thing in Hollywood.

Only a few months ago it was revealed that Claire Foy who plays Queen Elizabeth II on The Crown was being paid less than her consort, Matt Smith.

Westworld actress, Evan Rachel Wood, also detailed that from season 3 she would receive the same pay as her male counterparts which, she says, has “never, never” happened before.

Dozens of actors and filmmakers including This Is Us stars, Sterling K. Brown and Mandy Moore, veteran actress Jane Fonda, Black Monday actor Don Cheadle, and director of Selma, Ava DuVernay, have signed an open letter to Hollywood addressing the issue.

“There is an egregious wage gap for historically female-majority crafts,” the letter stated. “It’s time for the Entertainment Industry to take a hard look at its pay and compensation practices above and below the line to make sure all productions meet the legal ― and moral ― requirement to pay fairly without discrimination.”

According to Forbes, the highest-earning actors in Hollywood between June 2017 and 2017 earned a combined total of $748.5 million compared to their female counterparts with $186 million.

Jane Fonda, who turned 80 years old on Dec. 21, told People that she “never pictured” turning at age 30.

“I assumed I wouldn’t live very long and that I would die lonely and an addict of some sort,” Fonda told the publication. “I didn’t think if I did live this long, that I would be vibrant and healthy and still working. I’m grateful.”

Fonda was born in 1937 to Henry Fonda and Frances Ford Brokaw. Her mother suffered from mental illness and committed suicide when she was just 12 years old.

Despite suffering a great loss as a child, the actress said there are many things to be grateful for today.

“I’m thankful that I’ve gotten better over the 80 years,” she said. “I’m less judgmental. I’m forgiving. It wasn’t always true. I’ve really worked hard to get better as a human being.”

Recently, Fonda has received praises for her role in Netflix’s Grace and Frankie, which earned Emmy nods in 2016 and 2017. She plays Grace alongside Lily Tomlin’s Frankie.
