]]>Unlike the majority of other award ceremonies, this one wasn’t preceded by a full nominees list. All the winners were announced during the live socially distanced ceremony, hosted by Vanessa Hudgens. Neve Campbell, Lily Collins, and Derek Hough were amongst the stars tuning in to present.
The late Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman was named as Hero for the Ages, while Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot received the She-Ro award. Kevin Hart took the GOAT award for Comedy Giant, while Jamie Lee Curtis was named as the most beloved Scream Queen.
MTV Film and TV Awards usually take place in the spring, between April and June, and they’re promising a “bigger and better than ever” ceremony in 2021. Its date is still a mystery since many other major ceremonies shifted their dates in the last few months.

]]>The actress reprised one of her most famous roles — that of Laurie Strode — in Halloween which came out on the 17th of October.
The movie is set 40 years after the original Halloween where Jamie played the teenage babysitter who was terrorized by villain Michael Myers. Now, as both a mother and grandmother, she vows to take revenge.
The horror film broke all types of records on its opening weekend (earning $91 million worldwide) — a feat which was acknowledged by its star.
“OK. I’m going to go for one BOAST post,” the 59-year-old wrote on Instagram. “Biggest horror movie opening with a female lead. Biggest movie opening with a female lead over 55. Second biggest horror movie opening ever. Second biggest October movie opening ever. Biggest Halloween opening ever. Couldn’t be prouder of ALL who made this creative experiment have such a thrilling result!”
We think that boast post is well-deserved!
