Lin-Manuel Miranda took to Twitter Monday announcing that his acclaimed Broadway show is heading to cinemas after Disney purchased the worldwide movie rights for a whopping sum of $75 million. 

Miranda’s announcement also revealed that the movie adaptation, which has been set for a 2021 fall release, will feature the original Broadway cast. 

The Hamilton movie consisted of shooting three live performances, and also some setup shots without an audience, all of which was used to create multiple angles to ensure a full cinematic experience, according to Deadline. 

Hamilton won 11 Tony Awards in 2016, as well as the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. 

Hamilton will hit theaters October 15th, 2021.
