As a result of the 45 year old eloping with her first husband (Coldplay frontman Chris Martin), she never experienced the pre-wedding festivities and so is making sure she does them right this time.

Last week, Gwyneth and some of her closest girlfriends—including fashion designer Stella McCartney—ventured to Cabo, Mexico for a fun-filled bachelorette getaway.

And now, Brad’s longtime friend and collaborator on Glee, American Horror Story and Scream Queens, Ryan Murphy, has thrown the happy couple a lavish engagement party.

Attendees at the black-tie event included Cameron Diaz and her husband Benji Madden, Julia Roberts and her husband Danny Moder, Demi Moore, Reese Witherspoon, a pregnant Kate Hudson, Chelsea Handler, Liv Tyler, and Gwyneth’s godfather Steven Spielberg.

If the engagement pictures are any indication, we can’t wait to see how glam the wedding will be.
