]]>TMZ asked John Travolta about the experience he had while working with Durst, and the 64-year-old actor had just the nicest things to say about it.
“It was maybe my favorite experience I’ve had,” Travolta said and called Durst “so generous” and “such an artist.”
Remember that this comes from a man who worked with directors like Quentin Tarantino and Terrence Malick.
“He allowed me to create a character that no one else would allow,” he added. “It’s really a wild character, and I felt very free to do that.”
You can check out a photo of Travolta and Durst goofing on the set of Moose below.
Moose is partially based on events from Fred Durst’s life, with Durst and Dave Bekerman serving as writers. John Travolta is playing the titular character, who is described as “a rabid movie fan obsessed with his favorite celebrity action hero (Devon Sawa).” The release date for Moose is still to be determined.
Fred Durst made his directorial debut with the 2007 drama The Education of Charlie Banks, which starred Jesse Eisenberg. He also directed Ice Cube’s The Longshots and a commercial for dating site eHarmony.
After taking time off in 2017, John Travolta took on several projects in 2018 and will star as mobster John Gotti in the upcoming biographical crime drama Gotti alongside playing the lead role in Karzan Kade’s Trading Paint.
