The movie is scheduled to be released this year, although no specific date has been confirmed.

]]>Black Panther has grossed over $235 million and has been praised by fans around the world, including former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama. On Monday, Obama tweeted on her personal Twitter account “Congrats to the entire team! Because of you, young people will finally see superheroes that look like them on the big screen. I loved this movie and I know it will inspire people of all backgrounds to dig deep and find the courage to be heroes of their own stories.”
And she is right. This is the first time audiences will see diversity in the superhero film franchise. Over the past ten years, the main superheroes have been white male characters with African American supporting characters such as James Rhodes in the Iron Man Franchise or Sam Wilson/Falcon in the Captain America Franchise. This film reflects a more diverse culture that is present all over the world.
Marvel’s Black Panther is directed by Ryan Coogler and it centers on T’Challa aka Black Panther and his life in Wakanda. After the events of Captain America: Civil War, T’Challa returns home as the King of Wakanda, but finds that his sovereignty has been challenged by a long-time foe. The film stars Chadwick Boseman as the title role as well as Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B. Jordan, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker and Andy Serkis.
Marvel’s Black Panther is now in theaters in the United States and internationally.
Congrats to the entire #blackpanther team! Because of you, young people will finally see superheroes that look like them on the big screen. I loved this movie and I know it will inspire people of all backgrounds to dig deep and find the courage to be heroes of their own stories.

]]>Based on the popular young adult novel by David Levithan, the movie follows the encounters of 16-year-old Rhiannon and A – a peculiar teenager who wakes up in a different body every day. The rules are simple – A is always the same age, they can never be the same person again, and they can never be near the previous person.
The trailer looks promising but we’ll have to wait for February 23 to see the movie in theaters.

]]>The film focuses on a 12-year-old boy and the celebration of the Day of the Dead and its music. It set a box office record in Mexico with $56.8 million following a late October launch ahead of the holiday.
The success is even bigger when we know, as Disney noted, that the movie has yet to be released in around a third of the international market. Among the audiences that still haven’t seen it are Italy, Brazil, Australia, U.K., Japan and Korea.
The Chinese market has brought the most of the international success so far. It has earned nearly as much as the domestic market – $133 million.
