Don Cheadle obviously knows how to work well under pressure.

The 54-year-old has been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since taking over the role of War Machine in Iron Man 2.

The lucky break came as a result of Terrence Howard — who Cheadle had previously worked alongside on Crash — not being able to return as James Rhodes following the original Iron Man.

Cheadle has certainly made the character his own in the six Marvel films that followed, but he did not have a lot of time to decided if he wanted the role at all.

Producer Kevin Feige and star Robert Downey Jr. had called him during his daughter’s birthday party and requested his answer in an hour.

“‘You just gotta take a leap of faith,’” Cheadle remembered them saying. “But that’s, like, ten years. That could be twelve years that we’re talking about,” said Cheadle. “I said, ‘Well, I’m at my daughter’s birthday party.’ They said, ‘Oh, take two hours.’”

And the rest, as they say, is history.

Just when we thought there is no person who could hate Avengers: Infinity War or its cast, Jimmy Kimmel decided to prove us wrong. The talk show host recently invited the majority of the Avengers: Infinity War cast to take part in the latest installment of his popular segment Mean Tweets. Titled Avengers Edition, the segment featured the cast members reading mean (and mostly insulting) tweets about themselves, which resulted in a hilarious and entertaining video.

Twitter users decided to really have it at the Avengers‘ stars, with one of them comparing Anthony Mackie (Falcon) to “a bug with buck teeth,” and other saying that Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier) “looks like a potato.”  Benedict Cumberbatch also got the taste of Twitter’s rudeness, since @Notorious_MAX wrote that the Doctor Strange star “always looks like he’s had an allergic reaction to bad shrimp.”

Twitter delivered when it was time for Captain America as well.

“Perhaps Chris Evans is in truth a great actor, but he plays Captain America like a big dumb hunk of s—,” @obstinatepupper wrote, and Evans found it so entertaining that he barely could finish the tweet.

Tom Hiddleston, Scarlett Johansson, Winston Duke, Elizabeth Olsen, Don Cheadle, Dave Bautista, Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson, Paul Rudd, Karen Gillan, Paul Bettany, Chadwick Boseman, and Chris Pratt also took part in the video.
