]]>One of the largest annual music festivals in the US, which was set to run over two weekends in April, has been postponed until October.
A statement released by the festival’s organizer Goldenvoice confirmed the news and the new dates set for the California-based event — October 9, 10 and 11 and October 16, 17 and 18, 2020.
“At the direction of the County of Riverside and local health authorities, we must sadly confirm the rescheduling of Coachella and Stagecoach due to COVID-19 concerns,” Goldenvoice said in a statement. “While this decision comes at a time of universal uncertainty, we take the safety and health of our guests, staff and community very seriously. We urge everyone to follow the guidelines and protocols put forth by public health officials.”
It’s unclear which acts will perform now that the festival has been rescheduled.

]]>Since 1999, Coachella has been a staple for music fans of all genres and renowned as the one festival to attend before you die. Now held over two consecutive weekends, around 250,000 venture to the Empire Polo Club to see the biggest names in the industry.
Returning to headline on the Friday, as they did in 1999, will be Rage Against the Machines. They will be supported on stage by Calvin Harris, Lewis Capaldi, BROCKHAMPTON, and Megan Thee Stallion.
Travis Scott has been announced as Saturday’s headline act and will feature alongside Flume, Swae Lee, Mika, and 21 Savage.
Sunday’s headliner is scheduled to be Frank Ocean who will close out the festival with Lil Nas X, Lana Del, Fatboy Slim, and YUNGBLUD.
Coachella’s first weekend, between April 10th and 12th, is already sold out, but tickets for the second weekend, from April 17th to 19th, go on pre-sale on Monday.

The “All Mine” rapper typically holds a “Sunday Service” each week, and this Sunday was no different.
The gospel service atop “The Mountain” lasted three hours and included Kanye’s own songs such as “Power,” “Jesus Walks,” and “Fade”, as well as covers of tracks by Stevie Wonder, Kool & the Gang, and Otis Redding.
Kanye also debuted a new song for the audience entitled “Water.”
The 41-year-old was joined on stage by Ant Clemons and Ty Dolla $ign for the track whose lyrics include: “We are water / Clean us like the rain in spring / Take the chlorine out of conversation.”
Kanye also performed the unreleased song “Everything We Need.”
Sounds like the good life.

Musical acts across several genres make up the event which has been held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California since its establishment in 1999.
the organizers have now announced that Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, and Ariana Grande will be headlining the 2019 festival.
It was rumoured that Kanye West would be one of the main acts at the 20th anniversary of Coachella, but that he had a fall-out with the event organisers.
Other top-billed names include Janelle Monae, DJ Snake, Diplo, Ella Mai, Solange, Wiz Khalifa, Khalid, and Zedd.
Coachella will take place between April 12th and 14th, and April 19th and 21st 2019.
