]]>The country singer Morgan Wallen led the way after picking up awards in 11 categories, starting with the top male artist. He also dominated the two main album and song fields: the top Billboard 200 album with One Thing at the Time and the top Hot 100 song with “Last Night”.
Despite Wallen’s best efforts, Swift managed to walk away with the shiniest trophy of the night – the top artist. She came out victorious in a total of 10 categories and tuned in via pre-recorded video message to thank her fans, saying she feels like the luckiest person in the world to have them in her corner.
Swift brought her career total to 39 Billboard Music Awards at this year’s ceremony, but she wasn’t the only artist to do so. Drake walked away with five awards and tied Swift’s record for most BBMAs won by a single artist.
The 2023 Billboard Music Awards took place on November 19, and the list of major winners also included SZA and Zach Bryan with four awards, followed by 21 Savage, Bad Bunny, Beyoncé, and Miley Cyrus each with three wins.
