]]>Since its premiere in 2013, Mom followed the journey of a single mom, Christy Plunkett, as she tries to turn her life around after years of struggling with addiction and rebuild her relationship with her estranged mother Bonnie.
Faris announced her departure in a touching statement and thanked the creative masterminds behind this show for creating “a truly wonderful work experience”. She described the past seven years as some of the most fulfilling and rewarding of her career and said she’ll keep rooting for her TV family.
WBTV, CBS, and Chuck Lorre Production also released an official statement wishing Faris all the best. They thanked her for “her beautiful portrayal” and added they’re proud of the stories they have been able to tell during the past seven seasons of Mom.

]]>No matter how famous you become, your mom will always be your first fan, and so celebrities paid tribute to their mommas, thanks to Jimmy Kimmel.
The late night TV show host is notorious for making famous peeps read a host of awkward tweets about themselves in a segment entitled “Mean Tweets”.
In honor of Mother’s Day, he instead decided to have celebrities read text messages from their moms.
Star of The Good Place, Kristen Bell, Mom actress Anna Faris, and Adam Scott of Big Little Lies all obliged by rummaging through their phones to find gems filled with mom wisdom and mild awkwardness.
In a text way past midnight (think 3:34 AM), Anna’s mom expressed her concerns for her daughter’s well-being.
“I am worried you are not wearing enough sunscreen and taking the B-12 I got you from a Costco. I hope this doesn’t wake you. Please give Allison Janney our love and congratulations. No one deserves the Oscar more than her.”
Ah, moms. You gotta love ‘em.
