]]>Tom Holland swung back into theaters on July 2nd ahead of the long weekend celebrating Independence Day in America on July 4th.
The sequel to 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming proved to be a massive success among both movie-goers and critics, who deemed it “a fun and satisfying sequel.”
While it was expected that Spider-Man: Far From Home would shatter records for a Tuesday opening, the film has now also claimed the 6-day record for the July 4th weekend.
What’s even cooler is that Peter Parker snatched the record from himself as it was previously held by Spider-Man 2, which starred Tobey McGuire in the titular role.
As it stands, Spider-Man: Far From Home has grossed $185 million domestically and $580 million worldwide. It is now in course to be the first Spider-Man film to break the billion dollar mark.
Good job, Parker.
