Sam Mendes’ 1917 was the big winner at the BAFTA awards on Sunday night.

Graham Norton hosted the event, which took place in London’s Royal Albert Hall, where the World War I epic from Universal and Amblin/DreamWorks took home seven awards: Best Director, Best Film, Outstanding British Film, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Sound, and Best Special Visual Effects.

1917 was nominated for nine BAFTAs, while Joker was nominated for 11. The Irishman and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood had 10 nominations each.

Joker won three awards: Best Leading Actor for Joaquin Phoenix, Best Original Score, and Best Casting. Other best lead and supporting actor winners were Renee Zellweger for Judy, Laura Dern for Marriage Story, and Brad Pitt for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
