If you’ve never heard of the Highwomen, you may have heard of one or more of its four members. The all-female country group is made up of Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris and Amanda Shires — all solo singers in their own right.

The quartet set out to increase the representation of women in country music, a genre mostly dominated by men in cowboy hats singing about pickup trucks and beer.

After releasing their hit debut single “Redesigning Women” and their cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” for The Kitchen movie soundtrack, the ladies have now put out their own version of “Highwayman.”

The original song, which was written by Jimmy Webb, was recorded by several artists over the years but was made famous by the supergroup the Highwaymen, which featured Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Kris Kristofferson.

After being inspired by the track to form their own all-female supergroup, Carlile and Shires wrote their own lyrics to the song, which tells the story of various women throughout history, and aptly titled it “Highwomen.” The Highwomen’s version also features vocals by British country soul singer Yola Carter, who was entrusted with one of the verses, and backing vocals by Sheryl Crow.

Give it a listen. We dare you not to weep!

The Highwomen’s self-titled debut album comes out September 6th.

After binge-watching all four seasons of Netflix’s Black Mirror, and reaching every possible ending on Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, you must be wondering how you are going to fill the time until the hit Charlie Brooker show returns for season 5 later this year.

Well, you’re in luck, because if you love Black Mirror, here are a couple of shows that can help tide you over.

Electric Dreams

Based on sci-fi author Philip K. Dick’s work, Electric Dreams is another anthology series that transports the viewer into incredible worlds beyond the reach of the imagination. Its first season is made up of 10 stand-alone 50-minute episodes, each based on a different short story.

It also has a star-studded cast, including Game of Thrones‘ Richard Madden, Steve Buscemi, True Blood‘s Anna Paquin, Harry Potter‘s Timothy Spall and Breaking Bad‘s Bryan Cranston (who is also credited as executive producer), among many others.

Where can you watch it? Amazon Video, iTunes, and Channel 4’s On Demand in the UK.

Weird City

In this anthology show from YouTube Premium, you will visit the city of Weird, which is quite literally divided by a barrier called “The Line,” with the Haves living “Above the Line” and the Have-Nots living “Below the Line.”

Unlike Black Mirror and Electric Dreams, the characters of Weird City all inhabit the same physical space, with some minor characters appearing in more than one episode, giving the show cohesiveness.

This show by Charlie Sanders and Jordan Peele only has six 20-minute-long episodes, but they’re each wonderfully bizarre in their own right.

Weird City also boasts a top cast of big names, including Dylan O’Brien (The Maze Runner and Teen Wolf), Ed O’Neill (Married… With Children and Modern Family), Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Arrested Development), Sara Gilbert (Roseanne), Laverne Cox (Orange Is The New Black), Mark Hamill (Star Wars), Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead and Okja), Hannah Simone (New Girl) and many others.

Where can you watch it? YouTube Premium (though the first two episodes are available for free)
